Morning Ledger
Ollie the ostrich arrives at his office, briefcase in beak and an uncanny knack for ledger-balancing. He pads across the tile floor, settles behind a tidy desk, and flips open a well-worn ledger filled with neat columns of numbers and an occasional chewed receipt.
The office smells faintly of citrus and hay. As Ollie prepares his ink and abacus, the bell above the door jangling announces the first client of the day — someone in a great hurry and clutching a suspiciously large bundle of seeds and crumpled papers.
